Special provisions School assessment
Schools approve and implement reasonable adjustments for individual students that can be managed in the school context for school assessment.
In managing adjustments for individual students, schools must ensure there is evidence of learning for:
- each assessment type
- at least one assessment design criteria in the assessment type
Schools cannot reduce the weightings of assessment components or assessment types in subjects.
All assessment design criteria must be addressed at least once across the learning and assessment plan (LAP).
Where the school has approved a reasonable adjustment to the school assessment for a student, and evidence of their learning in an assessment type is required as a sample for moderation, the school should complete the Variations to Moderation Materials Form (VMM) in the school assessment result sheet in Schools Online. Details of the adjustment made and the reasons for the adjustment should be provided.
