French (beginners)
Learning to speak, read, and write a second language will deepen your understanding of another culture and of your own language, thus enriching your life. More than 275 million people speak some form of French; it is the official language of 29 countries including Belgium, Canada, France, and Rwanda. Competency in this language will allow you to pursue careers in interpreting, translation, education, and health both in Australia and overseas. Stage 1 and Stage 2 French at beginners level is available to students who have not studied French before.
