Learning to speak, read, and write a second language will deepen your understanding of another culture and of your own language, thus enriching your life. Italian is one of the easiest languages for English-speakers to learn. It is an official language in Italy, Switzerland, and some parts of Croatia and Slovenia. Competency in this language will give you the option to pursue careers in interpreting, translation, education, and health both in Australia and overseas. Stage 1 and Stage 2 Italian at beginners level is available to students who have not studied Italian before.
