Japanese (beginners)
Learning to speak, read, and write a second language will deepen your understanding of another culture and of your own language, thus enriching your life. You will study the modern standard Japanese, including informal and formal language. You will also learn hiragana and katakana characters and some kanji. Competency in this language will give you the option to pursue careers in interpreting, translation, education, and health both in Australia and overseas. Stage 1 and Stage 2 Japanese at beginners level is available to students who have not studied Japanese before.
