Mathematical Methods
Mathematical Methods will extend your mathematical knowledge, skills, and understanding, and allow you to study calculus and statistics. By mathematically modelling physical processes, you will develop a greater understanding of aspects of the physical world. Mathematical Methods is the foundation for further study in mathematics, economics, computer sciences, the sciences, and could help you to have a career that uses statistics, such as in health or social sciences. If studied with Specialist Mathematics, this subject can be a pathway to engineering, physical science, and laser physics.
Students who complete this subject with a C– or better will meet the numeracy requirement of the SACE.
