Overview Part 1
Overview
In interstate assessed languages at continuers level, students develop their skills to communicate meaningfully with people across cultures. Students are given opportunities to develop knowledge, awareness, and understanding of other languages and cultures in relation to their own.
Students interact with others and create texts to share information, ideas, opinions and experiences. They analyse texts to interpret meaning, and examine relationships between language, culture and identity, and reflect on the ways in which culture influences communication
The continuers level languages are designed for students who have studied the language for 400 to 500 hours by the time they have completed Stage 2, or who have an equivalent level of knowledge.
