Reconciliation Action Plan
The SACE Board is an educational leader and proud of its work and support of Aboriginal Education. To champion reconciliation more broadly and develop our internal awareness, knowledge and respect for Aboriginal cultures, histories and perspectives, we established our first (Reflect) Reconciliation Action Plan in 2019, which was about looking at ourselves as an organisation and identifying the things we can do to contribute to reconciliation. We have completed the Reflect stage and are now at the Innovate stage.
The Innovate RAP is about strengthening and developing relationships, engaging with staff and stakeholders in reconciliation and piloting innovative strategies to ensure effective outcomes. This will ensure the sustainability of future RAPs and reconciliation initiatives and provide meaningful impact towards Australia’s reconciliation journey.
In 2021, the SACE Board partnered with Anangu artist Elizabeth Close to codesign a piece of art that would reflect the SACE Board’s strategic plan, as well as their vision for reconciliation. Elizabeth hosted multiple conversations with members of the SACE Board’s RAP Working Group, staff and executives to deeply understand the organisation’s culture and shared understanding of our Reflect RAP journey. The final design - Shared Journey; Own Path - is a proud piece of shared concept wonderfully executed by the artist.
Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2020-24
The SACE Board is committed to improving the participation of people with disability across a range of areas so that they can enjoy the rights and opportunities provided to all citizens and students to reach their full potential.

Freedom of information
The Freedom of Information (FOI) and Confidentiality Policy Statement sets out the SACE Board's policy with respect to its obligations under the Freedom of Information Act and the Board's commitment to ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of information it manages on behalf of individuals.
The Public Interest Disclosure Act 2018 (PID Act)
The PID Act commenced on 1 July 2019, replacing the Whistleblowers Protection Act 1993. It establishes a scheme that encourages and facilitates the appropriate disclosure of public interest information to certain persons or authorities. It provides protections for some persons who make an appropriate disclosure of public interest information in accordance with the PID Act and sets out processes for dealing with such disclosures.
